Welcome to Therapy with Reema
Welcome – I’m glad you’re here.
I understand that finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. You might not know exactly what to look for, or where to start. My advice? Choose someone who is accredited, experienced in areas that matter to you, and—most importantly—someone you feel you can connect with.
Here’s a little more about me and how I work, so you can decide if I might be the right fit for you.
Why does accreditation matter?
You’ll come across therapists with a range of qualifications and backgrounds. My strong recommendation is to choose someone who is accredited. For CBT therapists, this means accreditation through the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies), the UK’s leading body for CBT. Accreditation ensures therapists meet rigorous standards, engage in ongoing supervision, and commit to continual professional development (CPD).
I’m a fully accredited CBT therapist and take my professional development seriously to ensure you receive the highest quality care.
My therapeutic approach
I am a qualified CBT therapist, but I take an integrative approach to therapy. While CBT forms the foundation of my work, I often draw on other evidence-based approaches—such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), psychodynamic-informed methods, and counselling skills. This flexibility helps me tailor therapy to your unique needs and preferences. I am also due to complete my EMDR training in June 2025.

A little about me
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me out in nature, exercising, or cooking something new in the kitchen. I also share my home with two cats who keep me company and make life a little more entertaining.
I take a holistic approach to therapy—looking at the whole picture, not just the mind in isolation. I’m particularly interested in how physical wellbeing, including nutrition and fitness, can support emotional and psychological health. I believe that sustainable mental health often involves tuning in to both body and mind, and I aim to bring this perspective into the work I do with clients.
